About the role

Everything we do is aimed at maximising student enrolments for our clients.

Student Enrolment Advisors are the frontline of helping people make the decision to take the leap into further education. You will make outbound calls to people who have enquired on one of our websites to discover where they are in the decision-making process. You will engage them in meaningful conversations about their motivations and life experience and to make sure that the course is right for them.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure enquiries are followed up in a timely manner

  • Manage and nurture pipeline of prospective students

About the role

Candlefox own and operate a number of market-leading online education marketplaces. We’re a rapidly growing, forward thinking digital marketing company focused on enabling people to find career happiness. Our websites including training.com.au, tafecourses.com.au, shortcourses.com.au, coursesonline.co.uk and training.co.nz.

We’re looking for a Direct Marketing Manager, who can lead our email and SMS delivery to our large database of students. Now is an exciting time for our direct marketing channel as we employ new technology solutions to enable us to provide more personalised communications and look to better integrate our promotional activities with the other marketing channels.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in email marketing, particularly using Salesforce to deliver large campaigns. We want someone that can innovate and provide fresh thinking to support the strategy of the channel along with consistently delivering high quality campaigns.

The role reports into the Head of Affiliate and CRM and is currently supported by an Email Marketing Assistant. We see a strong opportunity to grow this channel and therefore the team to support this role.

Our ideal team member

  • A graduate student with a bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Communication.

  • 4 yr+ experience with email marketing.

  • Experience of SMS marketing.

  • Highly knowledgeable and experienced in segmenting data.

  • Experience with Salesforce marketing cloud & building user journeys.

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).

  • Excellent organisation skills with an ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Basic understanding of HTML (desired, but not essential).

  • A strategic and innovative thinker that does things with purpose and looks for growth opportunities.

  • Analytical in nature, with a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the timely delivery of email marketing and SMS campaigns to our databases.

  • Employ industry best practices in all our communications.

  • Constantly improve customer engagement with our communications.

  • Grow our existing databases with new users through promotional activity.

  • Develop new, and refine existing, communication journeys for our users.

  • Oversee the implementation of new personalised communications.

  • Meet channel lead targets.

  • Monitor and Report on key channel metric, providing insights and recommendations.

  • Identify and support new revenue opportunities through our communication channels.

  • Perform regular tests to optimise performance and identify new opportunities for growth.

  • Work collaboratively with other marketing channels and business functions to help achieve wider business goals.

  • Manage the Emailing Marketing Assistant and support them to achieve their own KPIs.

  • Liaise with Candlefox Data team to build better customer understandings and segmentation and create communication recommendations.

Are you passionate about the web? Candlefox is a rapidly growing digital marketing company designed to assist people in finding career happiness. We operate a number of websites including training.com.au, tafecourses.com.au and shortcourses.com.au.

We currently have an opening for an Email Marketing Coordinator, who will work closely with our Marketing, Content and Design teams.

As we are a young and growing company, you will be exposed to all aspects of the business. However, your focus will be on Email Marketing.

To be successful in this role, you must enjoy writing, have an analytical mindset, have impeccable attention to detail and be genuinely interested in digital marketing.

A day in the life of

  • Writing copy for marketing emails

  • Building emails and editing HTML templates

  • Basic graphic design

  • Analysing data and generating reports to assist with strategy development

  • Assisting with mapping out customer journeys

  • A/B testing to optimise emails

  • Building surveys

  • Responding to online reviews

  • Liaising with the marketing, content and design teams

  • General administration tasks

Our ideal team member

  • A graduate student with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Communication
