Meet the Team: Hayli
As our Social Media Specialist, Hayli leads the charge on both B2B and B2C social media strategy and its execution.
We had a virtual catch up with Hayli about her role as our resident social media marketing aficionado, and some super cool things she’s working on at the moment.
Can you introduce yourself and your role at Candlefox?
Hayli: My name is Hayli, and I’m the Social Media Specialist here at Candlefox!
My role involves managing and strategising both the paid and organic social media marketing across our sites.
I like to think of social media as a business’s ‘calling card’; a community space for people to digest information in quick, snappy bites!
I’m passionate about creating engaging content that both showcase the value of a business while also providing value to customers, to encourage them to seek more information about our products and services.
What do you like most about working at Candlefox?
Hayli: There are so many awesome reasons to like working at Candlefox, but if I had to choose, it would be the huge sense of trust and investment that the company has in its people.
Every one of us works differently, so having the freedom and flexibility to express yourself through your work, improve your skills and develop processes that work best for you is really awesome.
How have you found working with the team?
Hayli: You never feel like you’re just here to work and leave – it’s truly like working as one big family unit where everyone cares about each other. Being part of the Candlefox team has honestly been an amazing experience and I feel so lucky to work alongside some insanely talented people.
What makes Candlefox unique?
Hayli: When it comes to pitching new ideas, creating new processes or solving issues, the hunger to learn is palpable. I’m constantly inspired by the work that my colleagues continually produce. This encourages me to continue to better myself, to keep up with the pack and contribute to the team.
Additionally, regardless of the department you might be part of, or technical language you speak, everyone is always happy to take time out of their day to lend a helping hand.
What’s been your biggest achievement for Candlefox so far?
Hayli: I’m extremely grateful to have been given the opportunity to take the lead and put forward ideas to mould and develop our social media presence. I’m proud to say that we now have multiple active social accounts across different platforms for all our brands with fresh new content pieces being published daily.
The most surprising part of the job?
Hayli: How quickly time passes in a day and how enjoyable the work is! No two days are ever the same at the office and there’s always something new and exciting to work on.
What’s the coolest thing you’re working on right now?
Hayli: We’re currently working on developing some awesome online community groups as a different, and more personable way of connecting with our customers.
Especially in these fast-changing times, I’m excited to develop new ways to engage with our customers and provide them with materials that would benefit their studies or career journeys.
What are you most looking forward to over the next 6 months?
Hayli: I find that when representing brands on social media, it is easy to get lost in the idea that you exist purely as a billboard for advertising and forget to utilise the tool for what it was actually produced for – connecting with people!
Not only am I looking forward to growing our social media presence across even more platforms, but putting greater emphasis on utilising a ‘human-to-human’ approach to increase our audience engagement and become an established thought leader in the industry.
